Making the Most of My Island Experience

Making the most of your Island experience is easy. What it takes is a little planning, a little research and the ability to leave your 'mainland life' behind you.

If you have a special interest or hobby, more than likely there will be a chapter of an organization or group on the Islands that you would enjoy. Aikedo dojos, acting seminars, writing workshops, sports camps, ballroom dancing lessons and other daily, weekly, seasonal and annual offerings are just a few of the hundreds of specialty events, groups and organizations that meet on a regular basis.

Take the time to find out if there are any special events scheduled while you are on Island. Artisan fairs, festivals commemorating turning points in Island history and celebrations of Island life all take place on an annual basis.

It would be well worth your while and enhance your Island experience to know a little bit about where you will be visiting.
