Looking up, towards the roof tops of two-hundred year old houses, the image of a woman bracing her hands on the railing of the Widow's Walk as she scans the sea for the first sight of a returning ship lies is just beyond the corner of your eye. Perhaps, as you meander down the sidewalks and pause in front of store-fronts, a sense of déjà vu will linger long enough for you to remember that memorable line from one of the many films for which this town has served as a backdrop.

Property Number Thirty-Six This garden-style apartment complex consists of twenty-five units comprised of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Every unit features kitchenettes, cable-color televisions and wireless internet services (charges may apply). There is also a playground, barbeque area AND an outdoor pool. No need to bring your own linens and a coin-operated laundry facility is conveniently located on the premises. These apartments are ideal for families. Situated just one block off of Main Street, public transportation, shopping, restaurants and theaters, this property is only two blocks from Edgartown Harbor. One note of interest: among the reasons why this property features such affordable rates is due to the fact that your individual unit will not receive daily housekeeping nor will it be air-conditioned. If you desire fresh linens during your stay, those will be provided for you upon request.

Property Number Thirty-Seven This lovely sixteen-room Inn in Edgartown offers a variety of accommodations to satisfy the needs of every guest. Each room is individually appointed with select antiques, luxurious down and cotton bedding, fresh flowers and personal touches. Guest rooms feature a king bed or two twin beds. A full breakfast cooked to order and a lovely afternoon tea is included for all guests to enjoy. There is a small exercise room, sauna, library and garden room on the property; conference facilities are available for those who are interested in those services. Due to the romantic nature of this bed-and-breakfast, the property is not prepared to host guests who are under the age of twelve.

The fact that the rooms don’t have televisions or telephones was a conscious decision and one that many, many visitors have come to cherish. Due to the nature of this bed-and-breakfast, it is not prepared to host children – this is an adult-only property.

The white clapboard exterior with dark window shutters is typical of early 18th century Colonial architecture.
